This study is the result of a long attendance Bobo people that has continued during repeated stays, for thirteen years, and that continued thereafter during several successive missions. This book was designed according to the following scheme: The first part, entitled The Bobo” has to defining and ethnic personality Bobo by the history of settlement and basic frameworks of their social organization. – The second part: “Myths and Deitieswill define the study of religion through Bobo major Entities and minor. The third part, entitled “Les Masques” is devoted exclusively to all that relates to the worship of the deity Dwo through the study of classification and morphology of masks, Annexes elements of personality masks, mask in action, the origin of the masks and Worship Dwo, social and historical panorama of a cult dwo and finally, the nature and function of masks. The fourth and final part addresses the area of the rite through the various stages of initiation in Bobo farmers.
