Introduction Paul Rivet with texts by Guillaume Apollinaire and Tristan Tzara. This study presented by Madeleine Rousseau, with the participation of Cottie A. Burland, Dr. Kuntz Dittmer Faublée Jacques and Henri Lehmann, RP Patrick O’Reilly, and Leo Ambrogi, R. Carle, Jean Paul Faivre, Pierre Guilbaud, Simone Jacquemont, Olivier Le Corneur deals: Discovery of Ancient Oceania (Pacific culture, reality historiquede Oceania, the art of the Pacific and Oceania and navigation) and then: the West before the Oceania (the discovery of the South Seas, Pacific myth Oceanic art and collections, poets before Oceanic art, Oceanic art between the wars and artists and Oceanic art) and last part of: Oceania to the West. The works reproduced belong to museum collections from France, Switzerland, Germany and private collections in France, England and Switzerland. Numerous documents were provided by the Australian Government and the Museum of Man through, among others, the use of sheets of shipping Korrigane whose information were of great interest.
